The team of wacky writers for the relatively popular TV show The Girlie Show, led by Liz Lemon, is given a new boss: Jack Donaghy. And he, in turn, first of all invites a new star to the show - the half-crazy black comedian Tracy Jordan, a kind of parody of Martin Lawrence.
