8 Million Ways to Die

Scudder is a detective in the sheriff's department. During another drug raid, he is forced to shoot a man. Worried about this incident, Scudder begins to drink heavily, which causes him to be fired from his job and his marriage to break up. While undergoing treatment at Alcoholics Anonymous, he meets a mysterious stranger. Trying to help this woman, he plunges into the world of prostitution and drugs in order to find the killer. During the investigation, he is constantly on the verge of falling into alcohol addiction again.
