Anatomy of the Heart

Nikolai Korshunov, the director of a large provincial factory, is ready to do anything to ensure a happy future for his only daughter, Marina. Even after she becomes pregnant by an unreliable classmate. Upon learning that his newborn granddaughter has a severe heart defect, Korshunov decides to send her to an orphanage and tell everyone that the girl died. A few years later, after a series of difficult trials, Marina learns the truth and wants to get the girl back, who is now being raised by the loving family of the doctor who saved her life.
