Au Hasard Balthazar

At the center of the story are French police officers who are investigating particularly serious crimes. The new head of the special unit, Helen Bach, will have to find a common language with the talented but eccentric forensic scientist Rafael Balthazar. A wayward genius lives to the fullest and has a disrespectful attitude toward management, but excels at his professional responsibilities and literally communicates with the dead.
