Back to My Roots
2005In the center of Moscow, four generations of a Jewish family live under one roof. And although the Abramovichs live very close to the synagogue, all of them, with the exception of old Musya Lvovna, are very far from Jewish traditions, religion and self-awareness. Borya sells (and eats) pork in an unsuccessful attempt to succeed in business, his son David hides his origins, and his wife Alla does not even know how much she resembles a real Aidish mother. But everything changes one day, when Borya, running away from the collectors, is struck by lightning. Having come to his senses, he meets the spirit of his ancestor - the harmful old man Chaim. Once upon a time, Chaim committed a terrible sin and brought a curse on their entire family. Only Bora is able to remove him from the Abramovich family, but to do this, Chaim’s soul must be freed.
