Hereditary Captaincies

The body of a teenage girl has been found in a forest near the village of Manscheid, deep in northern Luxembourg. Luke Capitani, a gruff detective from the south of the country, was put in charge of the case. Having difficulty navigating the insular, communal and protective mentality of the northerners, Capitani finds himself unwittingly dependent on the help of Elsa Ley, a young and fearless local policewoman. The officers quickly become entangled in a web of secrets and lies. Hunting for a killer, Capitani is forced to confront his own demons when he discovers a shocking truth.
