Dear Comrades!

1962, in Soviet Novocherkassk - a strike at the main city plant, people demand lower food prices and higher wages. When workers from other enterprises join the strike, a government commission decides to send the army into the city, and within a matter of hours, shots of live ammunition are heard in the streets. Party committee worker Lyudmila sincerely believes that she is building a communist society and is outraged by the behavior of the factory troublemakers. But when her teenage daughter goes missing in a massacre on the square, the harmonious picture of the world of a convinced communist collapses overnight.
