Dolina Issy

The film takes place in Lithuania at the beginning of the 20th century in the valley of the semi-mythical Issa River. The constructive axis of the plot is the fate of the people living there - the story of the little boy Tomaszek, the priest's romance with the housekeeper Magdalene, the unhappy love of the maid Barbara for her master Romuald, the insanity of the forester Balthasar. The world of the living is intertwined with the world of the dead, and the actions of some heroes are accompanied by devils and demons known from Lithuanian legends.
