Polina was born and raised in a provincial town called Rabochiy Poselok. Very close to Moscow - 4 hours drive. Like everyone else, she graduated from school, got married, and gave birth to a son. And only after that did she seriously think: what kind of life awaits her ahead in this God-forsaken place? A house, a garden, a husband obsessed with his motorcycles, a crying child, weathered skin and the tired, dull look of a prematurely aged woman... But there is another life, joyful and well-fed, there is happiness, money and success. And you don’t have to look far for an example. 12 years ago, one of the village girls, Alena, left for Moscow and married a Muscovite. Some time later, she arrived in the village in a bright red car, as beautiful as a dream, took her daughter and disappeared forever. They say her husband became a banker, they are rich and happy. Alena did it all. Why is Polina worse? She'll be lucky too. She is young, beautiful and intelligent. It might be worth the risk. And why are they afraid when there is nothing much to lose? And Polina makes a decision: having found out Alena’s Moscow address and leaving the child with her mother, she goes to the capital in search of a better life. Her goal is to start another, as yet unknown, but so passionately desired life. There is no turning back, Polina simply must win.
