Earthquake Bird

Tokyo, 1989. Several years ago, the withdrawn and unsociable Lucy, having escaped from family problems, moved to Japan, where she now works as a translator. When a woman's hand is discovered in Tokyo Bay, she becomes a suspect in the alleged murder of her missing friend and fellow countrywoman Lily. During interrogation by the police, Lucy tells how she once met the attractive photographer Teiji on the street, and how an expat acquaintance introduced her to Lily, so unlike herself, and how the friendship of two opposites continued.
