Chile, 1930s. Revolutionary movements are gaining strength in the country - the totalitarian regime of Ibáñez is living out its last days. At this time, a boy named Alejandro Jodorowsky is growing up in a family of Jewish refugees from Ukraine, and in the future he is destined to become a famous film director and author. In the meantime, he, gritting his teeth, endures the antics of his despotic Stalinist father, endures the ridicule of his classmates, makes friends with street prophets and learns a world in which mercy is always replaced by cruelty, and pleasure is unthinkable without suffering.
