Enemies

The action of the film “Enemies” takes place in Belarus, occupied by the fascist army during the Great Patriotic War. A regiment of German soldiers was stationed in a small Belarusian village. They are all settled in the huts of local residents. The two warring sides learn to understand each other, find compromises, begin to see in their enemy a person capable of feeling, experiencing, loving... Where common life begins, ideology loses its power. But a fragile peace cannot last long. The war gradually begins to draw all the heroes into its terrible whirlpool, and no one expects how this could turn out for everyone... The son of the main character Natalya), a 10-year-old boy, disappears... According to rumors, the child is being held captive by the Nazis - he was arrested for trying to blow up the railway... Natalya is in despair, she is trying to persuade the village commandant Otto, who lives in her hut, to let her only son go. Otto offers Natalya another way out: to bring another child as a replacement...
