The Investigative and Analytical Directorate (IAU) is headed by Colonel Andrey Gromov. Department employees are engaged in the search for criminals and forensic examination. They study evidence, build an evidence base, interview witnesses and conduct confrontations in a high-tech office equipped with the latest technology. Agents can find not only fingerprints at a crime scene, but also traces of electronic devices that were in the area at the time of the murder. The ACS employees are assisted in this by the Scanner mobile laboratory, which has access to cell towers.
