Conflicts within the family, corruption and even a mysterious murder - these are the main ingredients of the mini-series “Happily Ever After?” The question mark in the title is not accidental. The plot begins with the celebration of the 46th anniversary of the marriage of Norma and Dionisio Drummond. Their three sons and daughters-in-law and grandson come to congratulate the parents on such a significant date. Claudio and Marilia arrive first, then Hugo, Tanya and Junior. And finally, the last to appear, belatedly, are Joel and Susana. The family settles down on the sofa to watch a specially recorded holiday CD. “It all started in a year that they say still hasn’t ended: 1968. They are still together because true love like this never ends,” Claudio, the couple’s eldest son, says in the video.
