The recent past - from the beginning of perestroika to almost the present day. A time of turmoil, a period of accumulation of capital, showdowns, revaluation of all old values, acquisition of new ones... The heroes of the film in the mid-eighties, together with the whole country, begin a new life - rapidly breaking through all the trials that the era had in store. They are not infringed by unnecessary moral principles, but with every step they take in the pursuit of crazy money, they take sin on their souls and realize it.
