The four short stories of the film are like exhibits of a museum of erotic fun. Love games of modern boys and girls, then excursions into distant history - the depraved Lucrezia Borgia, the mistress of her own father and brother, a nun dreaming of love, a Hungarian aristocrat bathing in a pool in the blood of girls killed on her orders in the hope of preserving her youth. Grace and cruelty, sadism and sensuality are intertwined in this film by the Polish-French director.
