The plot centers on medical student Olivia “Liv” Moore, for whom the consequences of one of the parties became a turning point in her life, turning her into a zombie. Cheerful, active and bursting with health before, Liv now looks like a representative of the Goths - with pale skin, dark circles around the eyes and almost white hair. She takes a job in the office of the coroner, Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti, so that she can have access to the brains that she has to eat to maintain her humanity. However, with each brain she eats, she inherits the corpse's memories. With the help of her boss, Dr. Chakrabarti, who learned her secret, and police detective Clive Babineau, Liv is able to solve the murders of those people whose brains she ate.
