Don Juan, in search of love adventures, enters the house of Donna Anna. She calls for help, and the old Commander, her father, comes to defend her honor. Don Giovanni kills him and disappears with his servant Leporello. Donna Anna and her fiancé Ottavio vow revenge. Seduced and abandoned by Don Juan, Elvira seeks an unfaithful lover. Meanwhile, he seduces Zerlina, the bride of the peasant Masetto. Ottavio, Donna Anna, and Elvira, disguised, enter Don Juan's house and accuse him of murdering the Commander.
