Aspiring singer Florence is concerned about her health and, while waiting for the results of a medical test, she goes to a fortune teller. The Tarot cards show death, and although the fortune teller tries to hide it, Cleo finally loses her peace of mind. Finding neither understanding nor sympathy for her worries, overwhelmed by confusion, Cleo cannot stay at home and goes outside. She goes into a cafe, meets with a friend, wanders around the city and meets a young man who, walking in the park, says goodbye to peaceful life - he is a soldier and he is about to leave for Algeria, where there is a war...
