Last Harem

Beginning of the 20th century. The Ottoman Empire is living its last days. The young slave Safiye ends up in the luxurious palace of Sultan Abdul Hamid II. She dreams of becoming the Sultan's favorite and giving birth to an heir. In the harem, Safiye meets the black eunuch Nadir. The mutual sympathy of the castrato and the concubine develops into passionate love, which overcomes class restrictions and physical barriers.
