Divorced 50-year-old artist Isabelle hardly sees her daughter, and her ex-husband constantly and in vain tries to renew their relationship. A woman is literally besieged by men, most often married. One of them is an arrogant banker who lives with a passion for books and art, but he is not going to leave his wife for his mistress. Another is a theater actor who suffers from alcoholism. “My wife and I are breaking up, though I haven’t told her about it yet,” his uncertainty destroys all the great sympathy that Isabelle felt for him.
