The action takes place during some kind of war, not defined either geographically or chronologically, since this does not change anything in people's behavior - people become suspicious, they hate and kill each other for no apparent reason. Marek lives in the mountains, with his disabled father, separated from the rest of the world. He survives by hunting animals, his father then trades his kills from a nearby village for things they need to survive in the wild. Marek must stop hunting because the war has begun and he risks being drafted to the front. His father won't be able to survive on his own. But one day, unexpected prey falls into one of the traps set by Marek - a woman in the uniform of an enemy army soldier...
