Ironically, musician Vladimir Ivanov, who plays the saxophone in the Soviet circus orchestra, received a chance that, in all honesty, should have been given to his friend, the clown Anatoly. He hated Soviet power and passionately dreamed of escaping to the West. But it turned out that during the tour of the Moscow circus in America, the famous troublemaker Anatoly was constantly being “herded” by KGB agents, and Vladimir was left without “guardianship”. And the moment comes when the timid and quiet musician must make a decision: to remain faithful to the ideal of socialism - or to take a decisive step towards a new life, great love and, of course, the desired freedom.
