Penny Dreadful

Victorian London. There has never been safety or peace here. The townspeople are busy exclusively with everyday affairs, not noticing the signs of impending changes. However, they should be more careful, because evil spirits of all kinds gather on the streets of the British capital, capable of terrifying anyone. You have long been familiar with many of the representatives of this evil spirit: here you have the demonic youth Dorian Gray from the novel by Oscar Wilde, and the wise Dr. Jekyll along with his alter ego Mr. Hyde, and the German Frankenstein “arm in arm” with his monstrous creation, and the magnificent Count Dracula from Transylvania, thirsty for blood, as well as his vampire henchmen and other, no less sinister entities. Starting the hunt for human bodies and souls, they all divide London among themselves. People are afraid to leave their houses, and the dark scoundrels are simply having fun, without thinking that sooner or later retribution must come for all their atrocities. And now the hunters, who have devoted their entire lives to the fight against evil spirits, learn about this misfortune. Among the positive characters, of course, Van Helsing himself will be noted. But the plot is not complete without the main character. He became a loner who came from America - Ethan Chandler. He managed to fall into the trap of insidious vampires and become obsessed with the devilish beauty of the mysterious female medium Vanessa Ives. As a result, the genre of the show is defined by its authors as “psychosexual horror,” and this sounds like something hitherto completely unknown, new and very interesting.
