Portrait of a Lady on Fire

Brittany, 1770. Marianna, an artist, comes to an estate on the coast to paint a portrait of its owner's daughter, Eloise. The painting is needed to send to Eloise's fiancé in Milan. As a sign of protest against marriage, the girl refuses to pose, and the guest is introduced as a companion for walks. Spending more and more time together, the girls begin to feel mutual attraction.
