Romancing the Stone

An obsessive collector hires climber Mike for a fabulous sum to get him a clutch of rare eagle eggs. Mike arrives on a picturesque private island, which belongs to Jim, who once fought in Vietnam and then lost his wife and son. Now Jim lives as a hermit and protects the peace of animals from insolent hunters and poachers. A complicated relationship binds Jim and Stella, the owner of a small fishing supply store. She and her son reach out to Jim with all their hearts... The poachers declare real war on Jim, but Mike comes to his aid...
