On the Curonian Spit they find the body of a girl, cut open from neck to pubis, with a white lily in her hand. Investigator Eva Kaidas and journalist Roman Rakhmanov take on the case, each of whom is burdened by unexperienced trauma. Thus, two wounded creatures, feeling an irresistible magnetic attraction to each other, go through a terrible and painful experience of fighting with themselves and study the incomprehensible philosophy of a maniac-aesthete.
