Mid 1970s. Young Latvian workers - Erik, Hariy and Guntis - work in a very glamorous Riga gas office, headed by the elegant boss Dunde. During a summer vacation on the beach, Eric, introducing himself as the chief engineer, meets a charming girl, Daina.
