An elderly man makes a strange proposal to a young beauty: he wants to tell her the stories of his life, and in return he expects only attention. He gives her a luxurious noble mansion, where he worked as a young man for wealthy owners. Fascinated by his charm, she agrees, and the stories he tells about his life inexplicably take place in her present, intertwining reality with memories, more like dreams or a wonderful dream. He gives her the birds of his youth, and under the rustle of their wings she remains with him forever.
