Simple - Minded

Screen adaptation of Voltaire's story of the same name. A young man, a Huron Indian, finds himself in 17th-century France. The whole town takes part in the fate of the savage: they try to ennoble him, he converts to Christianity, falls in love with his godmother, and adventures begin in which the “savage” encounters local savage customs at every step.
