Suite Française

At the center of the romantic story during the Second World War is a young girl living with her mother-in-law in Nazi-occupied France. The unloved husband has gone to the battlefield, and the heroine falls in love with a German officer. They share a love of music: she plays the piano, and the German is a former composer.
