Sam Swift, the former star of a hit cop series, attempts to restart her career after a public breakdown and rehab. She shadows lone-wolf private investigator Eddie Valetik to research a potential comeback role. Despite Eddie's reluctance, Sam's acting skills prove surprisingly useful in solving real cases.
