Life has scattered childhood friends Ivan and Jack. Ivan lives in Kazakhstan with his sister Olga. Olga is married to a Kazakh Karim, their son is seriously ill: he cannot walk. The family has no money for surgery. Jack, left in a small Siberian town, leads a local gang. His main income is gold, which he extracts from local miners.
