The Edge of Heaven

Germany and Türkiye. A story about the fates of six people in search of forgiveness and reconciliation. Pensioner and widower Ali escapes loneliness in Hamburg brothels, until it is there that he meets Yetar. For the same money that she earns in the brothel, he invites her to live with him. Nejat, Ali's educated son, who teaches German studies at the University of Hamburg, is very surprised by the strange choice of his stubborn father. It is only when he learns that Yetar sends most of his daughter Aytan's money to Istanbul to finance her studies that he begins to respect her. When Yetar dies tragically, Nejat goes in search of Aitan. But being a political activist, she had long since fled Turkey and found shelter with Lotte and her mother Susanna in Germany... It will take more than one journey for the heroes to find each other... albeit in an unexpected way.
