The Gilded Age

XIX century. A young girl, Marian Brooke, the orphaned daughter of a Southern general, moves to New York to live with her traditionalist aunts. There she becomes embroiled in the lives of her wealthy neighbors and a ruthless railroad magnate whose wife is trying to make her way into high society. Marian must understand the rules of this society and make her way into the future.
