Ivan Dunaev is a creative person, he is a mechanism that triggers all life processes around him. He can be called a hero, but his heroism is not in performing a feat, and not in sacrificing himself, but in his daily, monotonous activity throughout his life. At the same time, this is a film about male love - for the land, for a son, for a daughter, for a woman. It is about the difficult choice of one’s path and the understanding of duty - to the land, to the country, to all previous generations.
