The Lighthouse

The 1890s, somewhere off the coast of New England. Young man Ephraim Winslow arrives on a remote island to work as the new assistant lighthouse keeper, lame bearded drinker Thomas Wake. He treats the subordinate as a personal slave and forbids him to climb the lighthouse and control the light. Ephraima does not let go of his own past, so at first the guy who refused alcohol is increasingly attached to the bottle, and soon on a rocky island - whether he imagines, or in fact - all sorts of devilishness begins to happen.
