Former boxer Yegor Tarantsev comes to his native seaside town for his mother’s funeral. Twenty years ago he left for competitions and never returned to these parts. His career took off, he went from amateur to professional, fought for the championship title in Las Vegas, everything in the ring was going well, until one day the doctors gave Yegor a verdict - if he doesn’t stop, the consequences could be irreparable - from stroke to death. Yegor was sure that this time he returned to his hometown for a short time, but an unforeseen situation completely changed his plans: during a conflict with a gang of truckers, one of them dies. Yegor defended himself, for him it was self-defense, but now the police suspect him and bandits are looking for him. In the city itself, everything is also unfavorable, and Yegor begins to help local residents, preventing the chaos of rampant crime. Having found a protector in the person of Yegor, local residents turn to him for help; for the townspeople, the main character becomes a kind of “master”. This gives Yegor more and more confidence and strength to fight and resist all the vicissitudes of fate.
