The Pointsman

The plot of the film is based on the novel by Jean-Paul Franssens. In a deserted place, where the railway connects the city with the south, a switchman lives by himself. He has everything for an unpretentious life: work, a small garden, playing with mechanisms of his own invention, visitors - the postman, the driver and his assistant. But at the beginning of winter, the harmony is destroyed by the appearance of a woman from the city, who goes to the station by mistake. Due to circumstances, she is forced to stay here for a whole year. A woman is affected by stunning nature and changes in the seasons... And the switchman and his companions are affected by the presence of a woman... Events begin to flow in a different direction and take on a tragic character.
