The Postman

2013 Several decades after nuclear war and the subsequent collapse of modern civilization, surviving people settle in scattered groups in the territory of the former United States of America. The tyrant, General Bethlehem, rules over everyone. One day, a nomad who performs Shakespeare plays in front of audiences for food and shelter finds a postman's uniform and a bag of letters. He delivers mail to a nearby town, bluffing that the US government has been restored, and tricks the residents into feeding him. So he becomes a symbol of hope for people - they have the courage to resist the tyrant and his army.
