The Room of Roe Deer

The film shows the organic growth and then disintegration of the family bond (mother, father, son) within the space, the family home. The family hearth is a source of nourishment, but it also contains the seeds of its own decay. The film was created as a series of scenes-pictures slowly replacing each other, seen through the eyes of Memory (the eyes of the son). The camera creates an atmosphere of mystery and surreality, an atmosphere that echoes the paintings on the wall, the paintings of De Chirico. Strange events multiply, the painting bleeds, a snowstorm flies out of the refrigerator, a huge tree sprouts in the middle of the apartment, the forest darkens and the roe deer return.
