The Route

The film is based on real events. In September 1941, when the Germans were approaching Crimea, a treasure discovered during excavations of Mount Mithridates was evacuated from the Kerch museum. The priceless cargo was sent to a partisan detachment in the mountains of Adygea. However, fascist intelligence became aware of this and tracked the movement of the treasure. But he disappeared without a trace. It wasn't until the mid-70s that some of the treasures were found near a hiking trail. The search for treasures was resumed by state security agencies, but nothing was found. Already in our time, the hunt for the treasure was continued by one of the former KGB employees. The surviving member of the German special command also began the search. In the 70s, a tragic event occurred. Around the same place where the remains of the treasure were found, 20 people died on a famous tourist route. But several tourists from the group managed to survive; they were found in the mountains by rescue instructors. And years later, one of the survivors, already with his wife and two children, returned to Adygea to retrace this route. In the Caucasus mountains, he met the very instructor who saved his life, and he agreed to become their guide. But German treasure hunters and former intelligence officers are moving along the same route.
