The world is not built right. The world is mired in evil. A lot of lies, lies, hypocrisy. Virtue is desecrated. Faith is lost. The main character, the boy Benjamin, believes that he knows everything about moral standards. How they should be observed, from whom they should be protected, what is good and what is bad. His behavior becomes a serious test for those around him. Where is the line between morality and intolerance, freedom and permissiveness, preaching and terrorism, religion and manipulation?
