The film cycle “Department” is a branch of the main storyline of the series “Capercaillie”. Each film in the “Department” film cycle tells the story of one of the main characters of “Capercaillie”. And naturally, the film cycle opens with the story of Glukharev’s best friend and colleague, Denis, or Dan Antoshin. Somewhere in the outback, Aunt Antoshina is dying. Dan has seen her a couple of times in his life, and he has a lot to do, but Antoshin’s mother insists that he go and organize the funeral. Antoshin takes Nastya with him for company. And an ordinary, albeit sad story, suddenly turns into a real detective thriller - the circumstances of the death of a relative clearly go beyond the banal “heart attack” indicated in the death certificate. Antoshin begins his own investigation and a completely different picture opens up before him - there is an ancient curse, and a conspiracy of silence among the villagers, each of which could be a mysterious killer...
