Theater of the Doomed

Retired colonel, former investigator for particularly important cases Zakharov arrives in a provincial town. Deciding to while away the evening, he goes to the theater to see “Dowry.” But the investigator was not destined to enjoy art. According to Ostrovsky's plan, the life of Larisa Ogudalova at the end of the play is cut short by a shot. The production ends according to the script, the audience goes home. But then it becomes clear that the actress playing the role of Larisa was killed. The theater plunges into horror. Zakharov joins the investigation, helping the young investigator, and soon finds out that the entire troupe is doomed to death. The killer decided to stage the play according to his own ruthless script.
