Turkish for Beginners
2012Constantin Film
The lives of ordinary German teenagers, brother and sister Lena and Nils, are turned upside down. Their mother Doris announced to them that she was going to move in with her lover, a brave police officer named Metin. Metin is a German of Turkish origin, who also raises two children alone - son Chem and daughter Yagmur. Yagmur strictly observes all Muslim traditions - he prays 5 times a day, wears a hijab and does not communicate with men, and Cem considers himself a real hot Turkish macho. Lena and Nils are shocked, because these people are their new family! Problems in this family begin immediately: Chem and Yagmur blame Lena for her love for revealing outfits and hobbies for boys. The newly-made “brother” plots intrigues for her and her boyfriend Axel, who, in turn, are trying to improve the personal life of the would-be macho Chem. The chaste Yagmur watches all this.
