Waiter

A 50-year-old waiter from a shabby bistro sees only scoldings from boorish visitors and the machinations of a shabby mistress who loves to come to his establishment and demand special attention in the heat of the day. Then the waiter goes to the screenwriter, who, it turns out, is writing a sitcom from his life, and asks to replace his mistress with something more decent and to give the most impudent client the opportunity to answer at least a couple of times. The screenwriter agrees - and soon a whole line of disadvantaged characters forms at his door.
