Witchhammer

17th century. The Inquisition holds all of Europe in fear. Both commoners and nobility believe that witches are everywhere. Cruel, fanatical inquisitors travel through towns and villages for the swift trial and execution of witches. Using sophisticated torture and deception, they organize "passionate" witch hunts everywhere. In terrible agony, wives denounce husbands, children denounce fathers; amidst universal fear, entire families go to the stake. Only a few dare to stand against the punishing hand of the Holy Church. In their struggle, they can rely on God. But will the Lord hear the prayers of those over whom the Inquisition has already raised its bloody axe?
