Autumn 1941. Yesterday's schoolgirl Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya volunteers for a sabotage school. Her partisan detachment is ambushed, and the girl is captured by the Germans while trying to set fire to the barn. Interrogations and torture led nowhere. She didn't say anything that could disrupt the other groups' assignments. The Germans could not even find out her real name.
