Germany and Japan won World War II. America is divided in half between the victors, but, of course, many years after the defeat (the action takes place in 1962), conscious Americans organize a deeply secret underground. The rebels are mainly engaged in distributing strange newsreels, which show the victory of the allied forces in the war. It is with these films in their hands that Joe and Jules, a young man and a girl, try their hand at fighting the regime, into the neutral zone between the two Americas.
